Clinical microneedling is an advanced skin rejuvenation therapy grounded in Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Medik8  PDRN

This minimally invasive treatment utilizes a professional, automated micro-needling device fitted with sterile, single-use needle cartridges. The system glides smoothly across the skin to create precise micro-channels in the dermal layers, activating the skin’s natural healing cascade without harming the surface tissue.

This physiological response stimulates cell proliferation and releases key growth factors, driving the synthesis of collagen Types I and III. As structural proteins rebuild, the skin undergoes effective remodeling-restoring elasticity, refining surface texture, and increasing overall dermal density.

Recommended Protocol

Results are progressive and cumulative. A structured series of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is recommended for maximum structural improvement.

Skin prepping for 2 weeks prior may be required depending on skin type and condition.

Targeted Concerns

Acne scars, surgical marks, and textural irregularities

Enlarged pores and coarse skin surface

Fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of skin firmness

This advanced clinical treatment uses tiny, sterile needles to create micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the body’s natural healing response, powerfully stimulating new collagen and elastin production. It effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and uneven texture, leaving the skin noticeably firmer, smoother, and completely rejuvenated.

No.  Microneedling is safe and highly effective for most skin types. However, as it is an active clinical treatment, it will only be performed after a thorough professional skin consultation to ensure your skin is perfectly prepped and suited for the procedure.

You will experience mild to moderate redness (similar to a sunburn) and a feeling of heat immediately after the treatment. This typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours. By day 3 to 5, you may experience some very mild, dry flaking as the old skin sheds to reveal a fresh, glowing complexion.

For optimal, long-lasting results, a targeted course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is highly recommended. General skin rejuvenation usually requires 3 sessions, while targeting deep acne scarring or advanced signs of aging may require up to 6 sessions. Once your course is complete, maintenance sessions can be booked 2 to 3 times a year.

Strict sun protection is mandatory. Because the skin’s barrier is temporarily open, you must avoid direct sun exposure and apply a high-quality, broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily. For the first 3 to 5 days post-treatment, you must also stop using any active skincare ingredients (such as Retinol/Vitamin A, AHAs, and BHAs) and avoid excessive sweating, saunas, and swimming to protect the skin while it heals.
